Random thought after not posting in over a year

What is Christianity?

Is it religion?

Or is it something else?

If Christianity is defined as religion, then it must also be confined within the definitions of a "world view." But if we can bring ourselves to say that Christianity breaks the bounds and limits of "religion" and "world view" then all of a sudden it becomes not a category or subset of life anymore but the driving force behind all life as we know it. It becomes something bigger, something greater that cannot be imagined! It becomes greater than ourselves, greater than the world around us, greater than understanding or even reason itself! It becomes something that blows us away, something we cannot control and yet something that leads us. Ultimately it becomes something like.....well.........God.

I'm back!!!!

O.K. so for about a month now I have not posted anything. Mainly that's becase I've been at home and didn't feel like it :-)
Now though I am at Harding's beautiful campus in Porto Rafti, Greece. I'm spending the semester here with about 45 other people from Harding, and it's going to be great!!! We just arrived yesterday afternoon and I have my first class in about fifteen minuets. I'm taking 15 credits (five classes) so I'm going to be pretty busy, but with all the traveling we will be doing, we only have 38 days this semester that we will actually be doing school:-)
I don't know how much I'll blog this semester, but I'll try to keep up with it as much as possible. I will be sending out newsletters throughout the semester and have many people on my list already, but if you would like to be updated on how and what I'm doing let me know, and I'll put you on my list. My e-mail address is: heronmarksword@gmail.com
I need to go get ready for class now so I'll update more later.
God bless.

Good-bye Harding!!

This will be my last post from the wonderful world of Dis...I mean Harding :-) I took my Western Civ test and my New Testament survey test today and I have pretty much all of my packing done. Yay!!!! I have my IR test at 8:00 in the morning and then I fly out of the Little Rock airport at 2. I shipped my sword home today and it only cost me $11!!! I thought you might want to know that David :-) Anyway I'm off to climb buildings for the last time this year...

Some harding pics

So I'm sitting at Midnight Oil right now just taking a break from everything that's going on. My calc test went really well today after spending five hours in the library this morning getting ready for it. I've studied a lot for my western civ test that's tomorrow morning and I'm feeling pretty good about that. I also have my Bible test tomorrow which I'm not ready for becase my teacher is dumb and made it a lot bigger of an ordeal than he promised at the beginning of the semester. He told us 1) that it would not be comprehensive. He said that it would just be the last of our regular tests and 2) not be worth any more than a regular test. So here's what happens: this last week in class he tells us that the test will be comprehensive and then on our last day of class he decides to clue us in that it will also be worth 1/3 of our final grade!!!! As you can see I'm pretty mad about it!! I don't have time to study for this like he now says that we need to. He gave us a study guide but that just made it worse. He wants us to be able to tell him by tomorrow where over 50 verses are, book and chapter :-( I can't do that!!! not and finish studying for my Western Civ test.

Anyway I didn't actually mean to go off like that on this post but I'm kinda sressed out right now. If all goes well, I should end up with all A's and one B (calc). I'm ok with that.
I thought some of you at home might want to see some pictures of the lovely Harding campus that I took, so here u go:

Finals

OK. Finals week has officially started here at the great HU! I was remined of this when I was awakend by Josh getting up early to get ready for an 8 o'clock final. I do not have any tests today and was going to sleep in (just a little :-) but that didn't happen. Since I do not have any finals today, the library is going to make a very nice home for me the rest of the day, to get ready for my finals that start with Calculus tomorrow :-( Now don't get me wrong, I have started studying before now.
Well I guess the main point of this post is just to ask for prayers that I can do well on my final exams. I know some of you are already done with finals, and I give u props for that, but this week is stress week here on campus so prayer would be a great blessing. I think it would be ok if all I had to worry about was finals, but I have so many other things to do to get ready to leave for home (yay!) and then even more becase I'm not comming back to campus before I leave for Greece next semester. I also have some other stuff that I have to take care of too so I guess I'm just pretty busy.
I'd better go and camp out in the library now. I'm super excited to go home on Thursday!!!!
Talk to y'all later.

P.S. I was just talking to Chase, who can never remember when I go home so I'm going to tell you here: I leave the Little Rock airport at 2:00pm Thursday, Dec. 15 and get in to the Portland airport around 7:30pm that night.

???

Some Random Thoughts

1) I have to say that I have only 7 days left untill I go home and that makes me happy. :-)

2) I got a new Harding sweatshirt today. The HUB was having their end of the semester sale today and everything was 20% off so I got a new sweatshirt since I lost my other one. :-(

3) It snowed last night. Not very much but enough to stick and have snow on the ground most of the day.

4) I played frisbee in the snow today and pretty much froze my fingers off but it was tons of fun.

5) A girl asked a boy if she was pretty, he said "No". She asked him if he wanted to be with her forever, he said "No". Then she asked him if he would cry if she walked away, he said "No". She had heard enough; she needed to leave. As she walked away he grabbed her arm and told her to stay. He said "you are not pretty, you are beautiful. I don`t want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away, I would die."

6) I'm sitting in my room with Kent and we're listening to his music that he brought over. I'm just waiting for someone to come ask us to turn it down. yay!!!!

7) Have I mentioned that I'm ready to go home.

8) I have a Bible test tomorrow and I haven't studied for it yet. (oh well)

9) If a girl says that she "forgot to eat.......for the past two days" what does that mean?

10) Josh and I were wondering: If a girl is "busy" the two times you've tried to ask her to do something, does that mean something??
