No I haven't fallen off the Face of the Earth

OK OK OK OK OK OKkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!! I know it's been just about a bajillian years since I posted anything but I really have been really busy. I promise. . . Well. . . Ok so I've been ignoring it but I'm writing now so bug off!!

I guess to catch all y'all up quickly here's the scoop: I went to Wicked and had an amazingly good time!! It was so good to see Anna and Chase and hang out with them that weekend too! It was probably the best weekend I've had all semester!! Here's a couple of pics from that weekend.

The next big thing that happened was World Missions Workshop a couple of weekends ago. ONE(See earlier post), the missions group I'm in, showed the "Invisible Children" DVD and we had about 400 people show up and to see it. We had standing room only in the auditorium that we showed it in. It was amazing! For those of you who don't know, "Invisible Children" is a documentary that 3 college students made of the warfare and suffering that is going on in Sudan and Uganda in Africa. When it was over Josh, my roommate, got up and talked about his experiences in that part of Africa. Josh was born in Kenya and spent the first ten years of his life there. He has been almost every year since then and so knows from personal experience what is happening in that part of the world. When he was done talking the auditorium was absolutely silent. Everyone just sat there. Afterward we (ONE) got swarmed by people wanting to know what they could do. We bought a bunch more of the DVD's and we are going to send one to each school that was represented at the workshop. Each of them has committed to showing it on their campus and continue spreading the word about these kids. There was about 20 schools represented. We also took donations to send to the invisible Children "House of Hope" efforts going on in Uganda. (If you want to know more visit www.invisiblechildren.com for more info.)

I then had a pretty normal period of school and Frisbee and more school and more Frisbee as well as some other things on campus that ONE organized and put on. But this weekend Mom and Dad came to visit from home and that messed up my school schedule. Bummer. Not really. I'm very happy they came to visit and was quite willing to skip classes to be with them :-) Sunday we drove about an hour-and-a-half to take a tour of some caverns. It was really really cool! The tour we took lasted a little over and hour and was absolutely incredible! I really wanted to take my choir there so that we could sing in one of the big rooms. It would sound so good if we could.

After getting to spend some good time with my folks, I went to a Frisbee tournament in Nashville, TN this last weekend. It was a pretty big tournament with about 15 teams there. We were rated No. 8 coming in to the tournament and went 4-2 losing only to the No. 1 rated team. This left us getting 5th or 6th depending on how other teams did after we left (I don't know yet). So that was a lot of fun.

One random thing that I found out since my last post, is that I get to go to Greece next semester! I'm going to get to spend all of next semester at Harding's campus a little way outside of Athens and traveling all over the Mediterranean area! We are going to spend a week in Egypt and 10 days in Israel and go on a cruise and all sorts of fun stuff! I'm really excited about it and can't wait to go! If you have any questions about it, just e-mail me and I'd be happy to tell you all about it.

So now we're up to this week. I ended up getting really sick at the Frisbee tournament and I'm still fighting to get well. I've had 3 tests this week and I think I've done well on most of them =) Other than that, I think that's pretty much the catchup of my time. Sorry about the length between posts I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks. I don't have defenant plans yet but I have several offers so I'm pretty much set in that department.

God is good and is blessing me so much. I have a lot of things on my mind that I would love to post about but I don't have the time right now. So bye for now.

Yippee!!!

I'm going to Dallas this weekend to see Wicked!!! I'm so excited! Amy and I and two of her friends are leaving Friday afeternoon and driving down to Dallas. Anna is going to fly in that night so I get to see her too! That's just about as exciting as seeing the show. We're going to spend Saturday in Dallas and go to the show Sat. night. Sunday morning Anna flies out and I have to be back in Searcy by 2:30 to go to a choir concert so it's a really quick trip but I can't wait! Anyway, I need to get ready for my calc test I have tomorrow.
